Mercy on Judgement Day.

Mercy on Judgement Day.

I started this post right here without first doing the title, why?

well really there is no magic formula which people can use to find Jesus and salvation and glory! It’s all down to the mercy of God whether we attain heaven. We have to really hope and pray on Judgement Day that Jesus is by our side don’t you agree! So I’ll call this post, ‘Mercy on Judgement Day’.

Luke 1:50 And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation.

What is fear

Of course we should really fear, as in frightened, God, as he has the power to do to us what ever he pleases, our life is in his hands, however, fear definition in Luke 1:50 simply means respect. We just need to respect God ALWAYS, from generation to generation, this way mercy will surely be ours although we certainly DO NOT DESERVE IT!

mercy 1

I’m confident enough to say ‘I’ll make it to heaven, no problem’ however when I do just take a moment and think what if I MIGHT not get to heaven! then this inner core of faith which fills me somehow causes me to grasp my hand tighter, holding on to Jesus Christ, and the best thing about it is ‘he doesn’t mind!’.

Are you worried yourselves friends?

How about yourselves friends, do you ever doubt your salvation and forget that we need God’s Mercy to make it, and what if he doesn’t grant us mercy. A sobering thought. We has Christians though, and true Christians at that don’t have to ponder too long about the ‘unthinkable and hell’ happening when our faith somehow, and beautifully so gets us back on that ‘narrow pathway that leads to heaven’, where we just dust ourselves down and look around us to see if there is anyone else we can dust down also.

The robber next to Jesus was forgave and shown mercy by Jesus, he believed that Jesus was the ‘son of God’ and it’s as simple as that.

What fantastic Mercy.

May the mercy of Jesus Christ live with you now and forever more. Amen.

Come on, sell your car and follow Jesus

Come on, sell your car and follow Jesus

Luke 18:22Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me…(KJV)

Hello friends, I concentrated my post today by concentrating on the word ‘follower’. What is a follower? Are we really true followers? The answer is No, a resounding no we are not. I chose the above title because I did quite well for about ten years without a car, I cycled, caught buses, walked, jogged.

Then a few years ago I decided to buy a car again and thinking about the above verse of scripture taken from the gospel of Luke chapter 18, which is about the rich young ruler, who walked away sad from Jesus knowing he would not do as Jesus told him, ‘give up’ his wealth and follow him. It’s like we follow Jesus in this westernised high-tech world we live in, where I’m sure Jesus would be sad at how easy we have it, and more precisely how easy we get distracted on the computer and do other things. The good old days have long gone, in England, Staffordshire during the extended family years of the 20’s and 30’s where grandparents, parents and children and grand children lived under the same roof, and the little ones would help granddad to get about probably suffering with arthritis or some common ailment of the yester year period. Them days were ‘golden days’, where the young were nurtured to expand their mind and use their imagination a lot! Jesus silently approving I’m sure as stories were read aloud and the whole family sat huddled around the log/coal fire listening to the old bakelite radio, maybe to some ‘family favorites’ station, with a hint of Jesus especially around Christmas time.

Nowadays, Xbox, kids playing games, struggling how to spell at school needing to ‘Google’ everything. And some of those ‘x’ rated games on the market, Jesus would bury his head in hands I’m sure. But to follow Jesus. How to fight all of the anti – Christ people and things and teachings and….It’s not to late to sell everything and follow Jesus. It can be done. You see friends it all starts as that small seed of faith in the garden of our souls, growing into a huge tree of life’ our life, and we are ‘aware’ that to get closer to Jesus we need to ‘sell up’. Let’s give up something for Lent! That’s your personal choice. Give up something that just gets you a few millimeters to Jesus, not much but closer, definitely closer, an accomplishment that not many people ever get near. Getting nearer to Jesus though is definitely the right direction to follow him I’m sure. Oh what fantastic and pure joy, beauty and grace to follow Jesus and more importantly for the follower being ‘led’ by the one and only God. And then, well nothing to really shout about, just being true followers of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Everything is all right now friends, Jesus is calling, and we can hear him oh so clearly.

God is our sword.

God is our sword.

Hello friends, I wrote this on Friday 20th April 2012,

Not a lot as changed over the last five years, just closer to Jesus of course!

Today’s devotional

God is our sword

Hello friends,

It’s a great comfort to know that God our Father is our sword in times of trouble, in times of attack from enemies who wish us doom. God through Ezekiel chapter thirty-five verse five tells us, who believe in his son Jesus :-

Because thou hast had a perpetual hatred, and hast shed the blood of the children of Israel by the force of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time that their iniquity had an end:

Ezekiel thirty-five verse seven:-

Thus will I make mount Seir most desolate, and cut off from it him that passeth out and him that returneth.

Friends, summing up god’s words above, those who slay god’s children will be slayed likewise, and worse. It’s nice to know friends that god is our spiritual ‘armed forces’, and on the last day Armageddon is the battle field, where we’ll be safe at the back, in the rear with the love of Jesus, and Holy Spirit comfort.

god's sword 2

Friends, I believe that we wave palm branches singing hosannas to Jesus as he enters the kingdom to save us from our sins and lead us to heaven. On the other hand god our father waves the sword of his word at our enemies who try and follow us into the land of milk and honey, wishing us illness and plotting our destruction.

God’s sword will cut the weeds down friends, on the Day of Judgement, and our fruit and flowers will be left, reaped and gathered for heaven by Jesus’ angels at his second coming, appearing on the clouds friends, for us to see.

I believe friends that the angels will dig down to our roots on the ‘Day of Judgement’, our soul, where our whole heart, mind and soul will rejoice in heaven. Friends, it won’t concern us because we will be in heaven, the point being the weed’s evil roots and soul will be cast into hell also.

Thank you Jesus for giving us the word of god’s sword to protect us, giving us a clear and safe pathway into heaven.

Thank you sweet Jesus.

The Devil is Among us.

The Devil is Among us.

Revelation 12

9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Hello Friends,

This is a great scripture from the New Testament of the Holy Bible. Why is this? Well quite simply put, our home which is heaven, where god our father resides, no longer has the devil living there! Like verse 12:9 tells us that great dragon was cast out of heaven by God. So we need to be aware friends that the devil is now resident with us on this planet. The devil keeps entering into mankind, however like in the days of the early disciples we continue to defeat Satan by the life death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, like Rev 12:11 shows us above. So through our constant struggles we encounter on our planet earth, we have confidence knowing that by following the advice of Jesus and his disciples we can keep ‘side-stepping’ the devil, leading a fulfilling and rewarding life, following Jesus Christ everyday of our lives, constantly like the air that we breathe, our love and worship of Jesus is similar also. Did the devil ever come into your life? He’s very powerful, he was up there with God almighty once. He probably has influenced you. Through prayer to God through his son Jesus, you can find out precisely how he ‘duped you’. Next time though you will be ready for him. The folks that don’t know Jesus are continually ravaged by the devil, until they are spiritually dead and the devil just casts them aside, even worthless to Satan! Physically vomiting the devil out of your belly if this was possible, like being sick of some disagreeable food isn’t necessary. We have to vomit him out of our soul! He’s deceived us, and still does. See verse 9. He gets everybody in the world. However, once we are made aware of his presence, we can cast him out of our souls like God cast him out of heaven. You know the devil is very powerful but crafty and lazy too. He will go for the easy prey before tackling us. The easy prey doesn’t have Jesus in their lives! Let’s keep throwing God’s word over the devil daily friends. Let’s weaken his resolve. Let’s sink him into the abyss if we can.

We are God’s remnant, we follow Jesus

We are God’s remnant, we follow Jesus

Romans 11:5…Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace…(KJV)

This is very very good news for us friends. We are saved by the grace of God. So in layman’s terms, there are two groups of people, the saved and the unsaved, the elect and the unelected. The elect I believe aren’t very many people, the majority are the unsaved. There is still hope for them to get into the ‘elects team’ they need Jesus Christ really though to give them any chance. Grace is amazing. It can be difficult to explain as well. But the Israelites killed the prophets over the centuries, broke down God’s altars and hunted Elijah. I see God as folding his arms as he looks at the people, putting his hand on that lever, when pushed the trap door opens and down they fall into the abyss. He should do this for everyone. This is how grace works. He is just about to push that trapdoor lever, and he will for a lot on the Day of Judgement’ when he stops, as he catches sight of his son Jesus, standing next to you. You are saved by grace. You are one of God’s elect. The none elect, the people unfaithful to him, God

…Romans 11:8…(According as it is written God has given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day…(KJV)

So the unfaithful out there are living in a spiritually handicapped way because of how God deals with the world until the day of judgement, where without Jesus, without a shadow of a doubt, that trap door lever will be pushed. Until then living spiritually dead.

It’s impossible for these people to RIP without Jesus, they need the grace of God to see Jesus by their sides, and pronounce a verdict of INNOCENT, into GLORY you will go, now and forever.

Incidently, when Nebuchadnezzar defeated the Israelites and took them into captivity who did he leave behind? The weakest of the weak out of the Israelites. What was their job. Tending to the vines and keeping the land of milk and honey alive. Who do these weakest of the weak represent? I believe these people are God’s elect. Nebuchadnezzar couldn’t be bothered to take them to Babylon into slavery. (this is just my belief though folks). So God has a plan to protect Jesus’ flock!

God in a way puts a moat around Jesus’ sheep, like being inside the sheep pen, safe from ravening wolves

that can’t get into the pen! So like the scriptures teaches us…the weak will be raised…the proud will be abased…the elect will be raised (to heaven)…the arrogant will be abased (to hell)…the elect will be free, the unfaithful will be put in bondage. And this will be done through the Grace of God, where he is very very merciful.

So dear Jesus thank you for giving us our spiritual senses so that we can see you and feel love for you and one another, and may we receive the loving grace of your father now and forever more. Amen,

Selling watches, vases, money, you name it in heaven

Selling watches, vases, money, you name it in heaven

Jesus clears the Temple

John 2:16…And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my father’s house a house of merchandise…(KJV)

How the economy can get intertwined with heaven in such a way that the vendors would set up their stall in a church if they could!

Obviously this is wrong friends, and Jesus shows us this when he chased everyone out of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem who were there solely to sell and make a profit. I’ve seen people in the market place, especially outdoor ones in the UK, and some of them to say the least aren’t that pleasant when it comes to buying and selling goods. Handing over notes and picking up in return some item they have bought. Some arguments breaking outing between sellers and who has the best pitches, so market police are generally close at hand and life continues. Where am I going with this. Well I suppose if people are prepared to trade inside a holy place or on holy ground they may think they will set up their pitch some place in heaven if in their mind they think they may make it to heaven ultimately. If this crazy idea was possible, which I’m sure it isn’t I reckon Jesus would run in his father’s house and do exactly the same thing. GET OUT!

Simply put there is a time and a place for everything, especially trade, and it’s a no no to sell and make a profit on Holy ground, Jesus makes this quite clear to his believers.

I believe there are a lot of people who would even in this day sell merchandise in a holy place if they could, so it’s important that selling stuff for economic reasons should be kept separate from anything divine, or else not only will you have the wrath of God on your back, but the very very rare anger of Jesus Christ also.

How many people would accept a Rolex watch if offered one in a church, at a very good price? Temptation! Lone sharks giving you a loan while you are both kneeling at the altar? Does this sort of thing go on? I reckon it did in Jesus’ day.

We are really lucky to have Jesus to remind us what is right and wrong when it comes to selling, and making your soul a ‘holy of holies’ should be all good Christians objective. It can be done through the love of Jesus, we are really lucky don’t you think friends.

Don’t forget it’s a dangerous world we live in where money is concerned and Jesus ultimately had nails driven through him for sins that WE committed.

So dear Jesus may you always keep your father’s temple clean and pure and free from abusive money rackets, and help us to keep the temple of our souls beautiful, pure and clean, now and forever more Amen.

Galveston and Jesus

Galveston and Jesus
Galveston, oh, Galveston
I still hear your sea winds blowing….
This beautiful song by Glen Campbell reminds me of a place where two lovers meet, and Jesus is always there. This is just my interpretation of events, associating beautiful tunes with Jesus Christ. Jesus is everywhere to the believing Christian, and with those sea winds blowing loved ones hair is a gem of fabulous beauty, and with Jesus present in our hearts I’m sure the two lovers will always re-unite both in this world and heaven. This is the ‘warm love light’ deal that Jesus gives his lovers I’m sure.

Making vows on the beach with Jesus in your heart, mind and soul. That seems like ‘The Garden of Eden’ to me. And the best thing is there are millions of places around the globe that are just as beautiful as Galveston Beach! Anywhere where there’s you your love and Jesus!
The suffering leaves the soul of man I believe very quickly when Jesus has been invited in, and we can take love with us everywhere we go.
So sweet Jesus, thank you for Galveston, thank you for the countless other places in the world in which we live where love grows, and thank you for letting us forgiven sinners near you to experience the love of the Holy Spirit, in your sweet precious name. Amen.
